Guy De Jaegher (°Kortrijk 1944) is a fine artist who elaborates his pictures in an extreme precisely and realistic manner with great technical craftsmanship.
He attended classes at the Academy of Arts at Kortrijk from childhood
on; subsequently he studied graphic arts and calligraphy at the
Sint-Lucas Instituut at Doornik.
However, as to fine and precise painting, which he considers to be one
of the most exacting forms of painting, he is completely self-educated.
He works in oils, mainly on panel and he is a virtuoso at back glass
painting (oils applied on the back side of a glass plate).
He lives and works at Amougies, Mont de l’Enclus, Belgium.
